Graphic Design Instructor

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Graphic Design Instructor to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator and practitioner, dedicated to inspiring the next generation of designers. You will be responsible for developing curriculum, delivering engaging lectures and workshops, and providing mentorship to students as they build a professional-quality portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and teach courses in graphic design fundamentals, including typography, layout, color theory, and branding.
• Teach industry-standard software, including the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and potentially introduce emerging tools (Figma, etc.).
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
• Design and grade assignments, projects, and assessments that provide constructive feedback to students.
• Guide students in the development of their professional portfolios and prepare them for careers in the design industry.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and pedagogical methods.
• Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum development, and departmental events.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred for Professor roles).
• A minimum of [3-5] years of professional graphic design experience.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is essential.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for teaching and mentoring students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous teaching experience at the college level.
• Experience with web design, UI/UX, or motion graphics.
• An established network within the design industry.
