UI/UX Designer (Education - LMS Application)

TAKMIL provides accelerated education to out-of-school children (5–16 years) in underserved communities. We’re now developing an AI and digital skills program to equip students with practical, employable skills — from AI literacy to no-code tools and prompt engineering.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer with a strong background in the education sector to review and enhance the existing UI/UX designs of our Learning Management System (LMS) application. The ideal candidate will evaluate the current designs for usability, functionality, and aesthetic quality, ensuring an optimal user experience tailored for students, educators, and administrators.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the existing LMS UI/UX designs for usability, accessibility, and responsiveness.
• Identify gaps and areas of improvement in the current design.
• Ensure designs are aligned with the latest UI/UX best practices and trends.
• Provide actionable feedback to refine and improve the existing UI/UX designs.
• Propose user-centered design solutions that enhance navigation, usability, and overall user satisfaction.
• Ensure the design aligns with educational industry standards and user needs.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to align UI/UX improvements with business objectives.
• Collaborate with QA teams to test design implementations and ensure consistency.
• Create detailed reports outlining findings and proposed design adjustments.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for design changes and recommendations.

Qualifications and SkillsEducation and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 2-3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in the education sector or LMS platforms.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in design tools like Figma.
• Strong knowledge of usability principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
• Experience in designing for web and mobile platforms.

Professional Skills:

• Proven experience in reviewing and enhancing existing UI/UX designs.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX projects, particularly in education or LMS contexts.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

Other Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain design decisions.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or collaboratively.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
