Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and organized Graphic Designer to support our Marketing and Packaging Department. This role will assist in developing product literature, managing digital assets, coordinating packaging projects, and supporting digital marketing initiatives.
You’ll work closely with our Brand Manager to learn processes related to packaging design, label management, catalog development, customer communications, and brand development. This position is ideal for someone eager to utilize technical design skills and navigate the intersection of branding and manufacturing. Please note that this is not a highly creative position, this role will focus on technical design skills and will require you to preform non-design tasks such as quality assurance, data management and customer relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Literature & Databases
- Assist in creating and maintaining essential product files, including Prepress Label Files, Product Information, Nutrition Facts and upholding the FDA Standard across our products.
- Support database management for product and packaging images, ensuring all product photos, specification sheets, and pack size information are accurate and current.
- Help develop and maintain training guides, SOPs, and internal resources for product and process education across departments.
- Participate in annual product literature audits and assist in updates as needed.
Label & Packaging Support
- Assist in designing, editing, and proofing label artwork in collaboration with the Brand Manager.
- Support coordination between sales teams, customers, and QA/SQF teams to ensure correct labeling, certifications, and approvals are obtained.
- Participate in label QA reviews, verifying print quality and helping manage credits/deductions and reprints with suppliers.
- Help maintain label inventory organization, including tracking usage and disposal of outdated materials.
Digital Campaigns & Brand Presence
- Assist with email marketing campaigns, preparing and sending campaigns as well as managing customer lists.
- Support updates to social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Website) for holidays, product spotlights, and announcements.
- Help manage and organize digital assets, stock imagery, and brand visuals for marketing campaigns.
Brand Management & Customer Relations
- Assist in maintaining customer relationship databases (CRM), tracking new leads, and supporting communication with sales and customers.
- Help manage the company’s Google Business pages, including responding to reviews and ensuring accurate information.
- Support development of branded merchandise, corporate gifts, and event materials.
- Contribute to website updates, blog posts, and digital marketing content creation.
- Assist in development of presentation decks for meetings with customers and staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Hard Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (Firmly Required); familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Premier preferred.
- Strong understanding of print design workflows, including PMS color usage and print-ready file setup.
- Knowledge of database or file management systems like Excel (Firmly Required).
- Basic understanding of product development or packaging design processes is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, LinkedIn, and WordPress are strongly desired but not required.
- Comfortable learning technical product details (e.g., specifications, nutrition info, or compliance documents).
Soft Skills:
- Strong technical design skills allowing for quick and accurate execution of projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
- Creative thinker with a passion for visual presentation.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative and eager to learn new processes, software, and design workflows.
- Professional and courteous attitude when handling customer reviews, feedback, and communications.
- Experience working with project management systems is a huge plus!
