GRAPHIC DESIGNER

+ Position Description

We are seeking a Graphic Designer who possesses a mature and vibrant love for Jesus Christ and is passionate about creating visual designs that unify our global congregation. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design and ensure that Trinity’s visual identity remains fresh and on-brand across multiple platforms.

+ Areas of Focus

Brand Guardian

• Serve as a key creative force, ensuring that Trinity feels like “One Church” through visually engaging graphics that connect our global campuses and ministries.
• Work with the Creative Director to update the graphic design sections of our branding guidelines, ensuring the church maintains a fresh and inviting look.
• Monitor Trinity’s physical and digital designs across the world, ensuring they adhere to established brand guidelines.
• Oversee Canva approvals from staff members using our templates.

Creative Brainstormer

• Participate in the creative process at Trinity, contributing ideas and input for a variety of exciting projects, including stage designs, videos, digital outreach, workflows, and more.

Weekly Tasks

• Regularly update our library of Canva branding templates for campuses and ministries to use with ease.
• Maintain a well-organized archive of all graphics and photos on Google Drive.
• Collaborate with church leaders to develop visually compelling designs for sermon series and events throughout the year.
• Collaborate with the videographer on sermon series bumper concepts, providing additional visual elements matching the series graphic when needed.
• Support campuses in creating signs, posters, handouts, apparel, and other promotional materials.

“As Needed” Tasks

• Update photos and graphics on our other online platforms.
• Design new items for Trinity Church’s online shop.
• Oversee book layout designs and carry out book updates.
• Provide Canva training for those who need extra assistance.
• Maintain the Wix based website, oversee new page creation, make updates, and design/schedule lightboxes (pop ups).

+ Minimum Requirements/Critical Skills

• Possess a keen eye for design that is elegant and timeless, yet modern, with a passion for clean and understated style.
• Stay up-to-date with current graphic design and visual trends.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or similar software.
• Expert-level understanding of Canva.
• Ability to interpret templates provided by online merchants.
• Knowledge of file formats and color spaces.

+ Preferred Experience

• Experience in Wix website publishing software to make photo/graphic updates.
• Strong proofreading skills.
• Photography experience would be valuable in this position.

+ Expectations

The Graphic Designer will…

• Work an average of 20 hours per week.
• Most tasks can be completed remotely or in-office at your discretion.
• Attend brainstorming sessions with the Creative Team on Tuesdays, either online or in person.
• Report directly to the Creative Director.
• Collaborate with other members of Trinity’s staff.
• Support the leadership decisions of the Elder Board and participate in regular performance reviews.
• Pursue a strong spiritual life, including Christ-centered growth and development, a consistent commitment to prayer and scripture, and active participation in the Trinity Church community.
• Receive compensation and necessary resources such as computers, supplies, books, and office space from Trinity.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
