Graphic Designer

Total Entertainment is hiring for a Full-time Graphic Designer/Production Specialist to join our team! We are a premier event entertainment and production company. We don't just print signs; we create atmospheres. We are looking for a hybrid creative and technical specialist who understands that in the world of live events where perfection and punctuality are the only metrics.

Expanded Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce wide-format graphics which can include converting client "napkin sketches" or low-res logos into production-ready files. You will manage the transition from digital design to physical scale, ensuring high-resolution output.
  • Ability to visualize how a 2D design will look in a 3D event space (understanding scale is critical).
  • Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output that can be printed and mounted to a substrate or weeded, cut and applied.
  • Advise production team and expertly match materials to event environments. You’ll determine if a job requires Gatorfoam for rigidity, Coroplast for outdoor durability, or Removable Vinyl for temporary floor graphics and bar wraps that won't damage venue surfaces.
  • Act as the final gatekeeper. You must ensure Pantone matching for corporate clients so that their brand colors look identical across different media (e.g., matching a vinyl bar wrap to a printed fabric backdrop).
  • Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output. Inspecting every output before it leaves the warehouse for the venue for quality control.
  • Maintain a graphic database with templates/ measurements of inhouse items.
  • This is an in-person, full time position based at our warehouse in Hackensack, NJ.

Ideal Qualifications for Total Entertainment Graphic Designer/Production Specialist:

  • 1-3 years of graphic design experience
  • Specific experience in a fast-paced sign shop or event house is preferred
  • Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator for vectors and Photoshop for large-scale raster manipulation)
  • Structural knowledge with understanding how signs will be displayed to ensure the design accounts for hardware.
  • Knowledge of 3D design programs like Blender and/ or SketchUp
  • Knowledge of AI tools for mockups and renders
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
  • Ability to remain calm and accurate when a client requests a "rush" change hours before a truck departs for an event
  • Ability to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomously
  • Ability to sit and view a computer screen for long periods

Salary Range: Compensation depending on experience and expertise. Salary offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
