The University of Alaska Anchorage is looking for a Graphic Designer to work within the University Advancement team. Be part of a dynamic team that helps promote the University and its students and programs. Create large and small scale projects that highlight UAA's position as a dual mission university, working to serve the community and students where they are in their education journey.
The Graphic Designer will serve as part of the design team within University Marketing and Communications (UMAC) under the office of Advancement. The designer will develop and deliver publications and visual materials. The position works closely with the entire Advancement department and members of executive leadership to ensure adherence to the UAA brand.
A successful candidate will be required to have a high level of proficiency with design programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Photoshop and Google programs. They would also need to be able to work in a high-pressure environment and under strict deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field and 3 years of progressively responsible experience in graphic design or production, or equivalent years of professional experience.
Position Details:
This position is located at the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
