Graphic Designer

The Round Lake Area Public Library is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer who will support the library's visual identity and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is a strong visual communicator with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and create engaging print and digital materials that connect with our diverse community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field or equivalent experience
• Portfolio demonstrating strong design skills and creative work
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Experience creating print and digital marketing materials
• Knowledge of basic design principles (layout, typography, color)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Canva
• Photography and/or basic video editing experience
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Experience in a public library or public service environment
