Graphic Designer for Commercial Printing

We are a VERY busy, fast-paced commercial printing company that is seeking a self-motivated, highly accurate, and very personable graphic designer. You must have a digital/online portfolio exhibiting your creative design skills. Only qualified candidates will receive a response for consideration. This is a FULL TIME IN-PERSON position. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Designing from scratch quickly and efficiently based on customer supplied information
• Designing and Typesetting various types of printed and digital pieces such as business cards, brochures, flyers, signs, posters, banners, logos/branding, advertisements, social media postings, web graphics and various stationary, etc.
• Creating and utilizing design templates based on production specifications
• Pre-flighting and/or modification of customer supplied files for all printing standards
• Speaking and meeting with customers to achieve their desired design goals
• Answering phones and providing excellent customer service

Minimum Requirements/Knowledge:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial printing business
• Expert in Mac and PC environments is a must
• Expert knowledge using latest Adobe CC: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in graphic design highly desired, but not required if design skills are sufficient
• Knowledge of Print vs. Digital color spaces and file preparation
• Multi-tasking IS A MUST with minimum supervision
• Good practice of file naming and file saving standards set in place
• Experience with variable data printing and mailing practices is a plus, but not required
• Experience with online marketing, social media, SEO is a major plus, but not required
• Experience with website design and management is a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of various paper types
• Good math/measuring skills
• Printing, binding & overall print production experience is a plus, but not required

Compensation: Based on Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
