About the role:
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and versatile Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be able to create high-quality visual content for social media, digital campaigns, marketing materials, presentations, website assets, and short-form motion content. This role is best suited for someone who has strong design fundamentals, understands brand consistency, can work with marketing and content teams, and is comfortable creating both static and motion-based designs.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Social Media Design
- Design engaging social media creatives for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and other digital channels.
- Create visuals for Sofcom’s product lines while maintaining a consistent brand identity.
- Work closely with the content team to convert written copy into visually appealing designs.
- Ensure all creative output follows brand guidelines, design standards, and platform requirements.
Marketing & Sales Collateral
- Design professional marketing materials such as brochures, case studies, one-pagers, flyers, event materials, and campaign assets.
- Create pitch decks, sales presentations, and master templates for internal and external use.
- Support product launches, campaigns, and events with cohesive print and digital collateral.
- Prepare clean, polished, and business-friendly designs for sales and leadership teams.
Motion Graphics & Video Editing
- Create short-form motion graphics, animated social media posts, reels, and transitions.
- Edit video content for marketing campaigns, product demos, event coverage, and promotional use.
- Develop simple product explainer videos and animated visual assets.
- Add basic visual effects, captions, transitions, and motion elements where required.
Website & Product Visuals
- Design website banners, landing page visuals, hero sections, and module page assets.
- Create product UI mockups, feature visuals, and product-related graphics for digital platforms.
- Coordinate with the web team to ensure designs are optimized for web use, responsiveness, and user experience.
- Support the creation of clean, modern, and professional visuals for B2B and technology-focused audiences.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Graphic Designer, Creative Designer, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or similar tools.
- Basic to intermediate experience in motion graphics and video editing.
- Ability to design for social media, websites, presentations, and marketing campaigns.
- A strong portfolio showcasing static designs, social media creatives, marketing assets, and motion/video work.
- Good attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency across all creative work.
- Ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
- Experience designing for B2B, SaaS, software, technology, or corporate brands will be preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-based creative tools such as Midjourney, DALL·E, Runway, Pika, or similar platforms will be an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of UX/UI design principles.
- Experience creating LinkedIn-focused content and corporate visual storytelling will be preferred.
- Understanding of North American design aesthetics, enterprise branding, and professional visual communication will be a plus.
