Graphic Designer Intern

Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, recently voted #1 in the nation as the best large mortgage company to work for by National Mortgage News and Top Virginia Employer for Interns, is seeking a Graphic Designer Intern to join our 2026 internship program.

This role is ideal for a motivated individual eager to gain experience in developing marketing and branding strategies for expanding markets. This position offers hands-on experience working with a professional design team and an opportunity to strengthen your skills in both print and digital design.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting in creating and updating marketing materials including flyers, brochures, postcards, ads, and social graphics.
• Resizing, refreshing, or recreating existing designs for multiple platforms under the guidance of senior designers.
• Helping ensure all materials align with brand and compliance guidelines.
• Preparing files for both print and digital production (understanding bleeds, CMYK vs RGB, and web-safe colors).
• Collaborating with the team to adapt creative concepts across multiple formats and audiences.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring

• Currently enrolled in a form of secondary education (i.e., Trade School, College, Junior College, etc.) pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
• Ability to work up to 29 hours per week
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is required
• Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Express, and Canva is required
• Experience in video editing with After Effects, Premier, CapCut and Audition is a plus
• A strong background in Typography and Color Theory, Layout & Composition with a portfolio that showcases it
• Ability to interpret and follow brand and compliance guidelines
• Experience adapting creative concepts across multiple formats/platforms
• Knowledgeable in print & digital file prep and production, ie: Bleeds, CMYK vs RGB, web safe colors, screen resolution
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
