Graphic Designer (Part-Time)

Atlanta, United States

ABOUT Inspiredu

Inspiredu is a key connector that drives digital inclusion and literacy for the Greater Atlanta Area’s families, communities, and schools so they can enable the future readiness of underserved youth. Inspiredu’s mission is to help underserved youth develop the skills needed for education and career success through technology-based learning tools and engagement activities with their families, communities, and schools.

Position Overview

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visually compelling designs that communicate Inspiredu’s brand and mission across print, digital, and social media platforms. This role will develop marketing materials, event collateral, and digital assets while ensuring brand consistency and creative excellence. The Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with the executive, development, technology, marketing, and program teams to translate ideas into impactful visuals, manage multiple design projects with attention to detail, and adapt creative concepts to fit various channels and audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce high-quality materials for marketing campaigns, events, fundraising, and donor communications.
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive visual identity across print, digital, and social platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate concepts and messages into impactful visual content.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and attention to detail.
  • Adapt creative concepts for a variety of formats and audiences (e.g., web, social media, email, presentations, reports).
  • Support event branding through signage, programs, and promotional assets.
  • Ensure all visual communications align with Inspiredu’s mission and brand standards.
  • Maintain organized design files and templates to streamline future projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of professional design experience (nonprofit or mission-driven organization experience a plus).
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; Canva, etc.).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility, and brand consistency.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Why This Role Matters

As Inspiredu grows its marketing, events, and outreach efforts, the need for high-quality visual content has significantly increased. Currently, design responsibilities are spread across multiple departments, creating inefficiencies and stretching staff capacity. A dedicated Graphic Designer will:

  • Provide the specialized expertise needed to produce professional, cohesive designs.
  • Strengthen Inspiredu’s brand visibility and community presence.
  • Improve the quality of outreach materials, fundraising campaigns, and event collateral.
  • Free other staff to focus on core responsibilities, increasing efficiency across the organization.
  • Reduce reliance on external contractors, saving costs while ensuring faster turnaround times.

By centralizing design work, this role will elevate Inspiredu’s professional image, attract new supporters, deepen engagement with current partners, and amplify the organization’s impact across Georgia.

Inspiredu is an equal opportunity employer. Inspiredu strives to practice and champion inclusiveness in our communities, and we aim to honor the diverse strengths, needs, voices, and backgrounds of all members of our communities. Candidates from traditionally marginalized communities are especially encouraged to apply.
