Graphic Designer / Prepress and Production Specialist

Minuteman Press, the world’s largest and top-rated digital print, marketing, and design franchise is seeking candidates for a position as a Graphic Designer / Prepress and Production Specialist in our Wethersfield location.

The ideal candidate for a position with our company will be highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign and Illustrator, with verifiable professional experience in pre-press and graphic design for print. We require great attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Production experience in digital printing and finishing is highly desired.

Minimum Qualifications required for consideration:

High level of proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite; primarily InDesign and Illustrator.

2+ years of recent professional graphic design or prepress experience in a production environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

Passion for print and promotional product design and production.

Excellent customer service and communication skills to effectively work in a team environment

Daily Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• General typesetting and page layout of various customer projects..

• Preparing and printing of digital files, checking fonts, links, and colors, creating bleeds, crops, imposing art and exporting as PDF files.

• Communicating courteously with clients to assist them with the creation of their jobs.

• Reviewing job specifications from work orders and ensuring that client files are accurate, and the finished job exceeds customer expectations.

• Digital Print, finishing and bindery duties such as cutting, folding, stapling, padding, etc.

• Equipment maintenance and inventory management.

• Keep an organized digital file system, using our franchise process.

• General shop cleaning and organization.
