Job description:

Athletic awards company seeks an enthusiastic graphic designer for immediate hire. Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator. The position requires highly developed graphic design capabilities/skills in a PC environment.

Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator. Vinyl weeding and masking experience necessary. Candidate must be comfortable communicating directly with vendors and customers via email and phone, so great verbal and written communication is a must. Responsibilities include all aspects of design from creating art to proofing and setting files up for production. Responsibilities also include logo recreation, vinyl plotting, weeding, masking, and applying cut vinyl to products, sorting and checking jobs received from vendors, matching customers property, creating basic purchase orders in QuickBooks and keeping track of and ordering department supplies. You will be responsible for 100% accuracy and proofing of all materials produced. Ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, organized, proactive, a good team player and self-motivated. Candidate needs to be able to stand on their feet and manipulate large items while working with vinyl. This is a casual but fast paced, deadline driven environment. Must be eager to learn and flexible to work additional hours during busy seasons (November & December, April through June).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, layout, and production of large scale printed materials including banners & signs and record boards.

• Plotting, weeding, masking, and applying all vinyl to banners.

• Responsible for 100% accuracy and proofing of all materials produced. Extremely detail-oriented, while producing high quality work.

• Working directly with customer and vendors via email and phone.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Ability to work quickly and accurately with special attention to detail. Ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Expertise in Adobe Illustrator

• Vinyl weeding, masking, and application to large, printed products.

• Able to work while standing and manipulate large items while applying vinyl.
