Role Summary

We’re looking for a Graphic Facilitator who can listen deeply, synthesize fast, and translate complex conversations into clear, engaging visuals in real time. You’ll support workshops, strategy sessions, leadership conversations, and community engagements by creating visual maps, frameworks, and illustrated summaries that help people align, remember, and act.

Key Responsibilities

  • Live graphic recording (in-person & remote): Capture meetings/workshops in real time using visual metaphors, icons, and structured layouts.
  • Visual facilitation support: Help design and run sessions using visual tools (journey maps, canvases, stakeholder maps, timelines, systems maps).
  • Visual summaries & deliverables: Produce polished post-session outputs (PDFs, slide-ready images, one-page visual reports).
  • Pre-session preparation: Join briefing calls, understand goals, participants, and key questions; propose visual structure in advance.
  • Content synthesis: Turn messy discussions into clear themes, priorities, decisions, and next steps—without losing nuance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with facilitators, program leads, and clients to ensure visuals match tone, audience, and outcomes.
  • Asset management: Maintain templates, icon libraries, brand alignment, and organized project files.
  • Continuous improvement: Evolve visual styles, frameworks, and workflows based on feedback.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in graphic recording / visual note-taking / graphic facilitation (portfolio required).
  • Strong ability to summarize, structure, and synthesize conversations quickly and accurately.
  • Experience in urbanism, architecture, placemaking, community development, or public-interest work. Ideally 2+ years of experiance in any field.
  • Excellent visual communication: composition, hierarchy, typography, iconography, and storytelling.
  • Experience with remote delivery (e.g., Miro, MURAL, FigJam, Zoom) and/or in-person mural boards.
  • Proficiency in relevant tools such as: Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Fresco, Concepts, or equivalent.
  • Strong time management and reliability; able to deliver quickly after sessions.
