GRAPHIC/PRODUCTION DESIGNER

Location: Linden, New Jersey
Job Type: Contract
Compensation Range: $30 - 34 per hour

We are looking for a detail-oriented Graphic Designer with a mastery of Adobe InDesign and a strong print production background to lead the layout and cataloging efforts for seasonal collections.

In this role, you won't just be making things look pretty-you'll be the bridge between creative concepts and technical execution, ensuring thousands of SKUs are presented flawlessly across seasonal lookbooks and wholesale catalogs.

Work Schedule & Environment:

• Initial Period: 5 days per week on-site to facilitate hands-on training, team integration, and a deep dive into the production workflow.
• Transition: Once you are fully comfortable with the systems and production cycle, this role will transition into a hybrid schedul.

Responsibilities:

• Catalog Layout & Design: Build and manage complex, multi-page layouts in InDesign, maintaining brand consistency across all print collateral.
• Production Management: Oversee the end-to-end print process, from initial pagination and style sheets to pre-flighting and color-correcting files for the press.
• Digital Asset Organization: Maintain a rigorous file naming and folder structure to ensure seamless integration of photography and product data.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Merchandising and Production teams to ensure accurate product details, pricing, and fabric swatches are reflected in every version.
• Quality Control: Conduct meticulous proofing to eliminate errors in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications:

• InDesign Power User: Advanced knowledge of Parent Pages, Paragraph/Character Styles, and Data Merge is non-negotiable.
• Print Fluency: Deep understanding of professional print workflows, ink limits, paper stocks, and technical print specifications.
• Adobe Creative Suite: Proficiency in Photoshop (image retouching/clipping) and Illustrator.
• Fashion/Retail Experience: Previous experience managing high-SKU counts or seasonal catalogs is a major plus.
• Precision Mindset: An eagle eye for typography, alignment, and data accuracy.
