Graphics Artist / Printer

Century Manufacturing is a small business in Bel Aire, KS. In operation since 1971, Century Manufacturing is a maker of acrylic, wood and Lucite awards; metal castings; and other promotional products. .

We are looking for a creative and experienced Graphic Artist/Digital Printer or someone willing to learn to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in graphic design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multitask, work fast and proficient is a must. This position will work closely with Sales & Production on creating Lucite Awards along with printing and other production tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Handling Projects including submitting layout for proof approval, checking customers camera ready artwork, rebuilding logos, typesetting on occasion. Setting up files for printers, plotters, laser and router.
• Use various software programs.
• Operate and manage digital print production equipment, taking jobs from design through printing, cutting, and finishing.
• Manage workflow effectively to ensure deadlines are fulfilled.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Edit existing artwork to meet client specifications.
• Ability to work fast and proficient in Adobe Illustrator a MUST.
• Be able to work independently and collaboratively with others
• Must be able to stand and lean over printers and plotter for periods of time.

Experience:

• Adobe Creative Suite: 2+ years (Required)
• Adobe Illustrator: 2+ years (Required)
• Any Mimaki Printing & Summa Cutting experience is a plus.
• Mac & Pc Platform
• RasterLink, EnRoute & Go Produce any experience plus but not necessary.
• Willing to train an enthusiastic and hard worker right out of Vocational school, or College.

A portfolio of your design capabilities and previous work history is important and you must be able to work in a team environment.

The hourly rate will depend on your experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
