Maersk Governance, Risk and Control (GRC) ensure an effective and efficient risk based internal control framework across Maersk. GRC is based in Finance and drives the overall control framework to ensure a sound control culture and control environment is in place. We strive to be a best-in-industry GRC function supporting strategic differentiation and safeguarding our license to operate for the long term.

It is our mission to operationalize GRC framework and regulatory requirements through aligned, effective, and business-friendly controls and processes, solutions, and effective reporting.

The GRC Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team by providing data analysis and insights to ensure effective risk management. This role involves analysing data from various sources, identifying trends and patterns, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance the organization's GRC framework.

You will play a critical role in safeguarding product integrity, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving operational excellence. Additionally, you will ensure data governance practices are upheld to maintain data integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis : Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to governance, risk, and control activities. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support decision-making in respective business process context.

  • Reporting : Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into the data analytics conducted and GRC metrics and performance. Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

  • Risk Assessment : Assist in the identification and assessment of risks for various business processes by analysing data and providing insights into potential risk areas. Support the development of risk mitigation strategies.

  • Data Quality : Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the dashboards and GRC data by implementing data quality controls and conducting regular data audits. Collaborate with data owners to resolve data quality issues.

  • Collaboration : Work closely with the GPL/SFPO teams, GRC team, IT, and other departments to gather data requirements, understand business needs, and provide data-driven insights. Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance the GRC framework.

  • Documentation : Maintain documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings. Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • At least 6 to 8 years of experience in data analysis and reporting

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (Python, SQL)

  • Knowledge of visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

  • Proficient in various Microsoft applications for Data analysis

  • Understanding of advanced statistical techniques and concepts.

  • Preferred experience in Risk, internal controls, Auditing, Controls Testing, or Statistical Analysis/Modeling.

  • Knowledge of SAP, SAP analytics cloud will be advantageous.

  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
