Field Operations Coordinator – Ground Transportation (Project-Based)

Field-based work across 2–4 FIFA World Cup 2026 Host Cities, including airports, hotels, and stadiums. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the event period (June/July).

The Field Operations Coordinator plays a hands-on operational role within the Ground Transportation department during the FIFA World Cup 2026. This position supports service execution across 2–4 Host Cities in one tournament region (East, Central, or West), ensuring timely, branded, and safe transport. The role connects regional oversight with city-level operations by coordinating with Transportation Management Company (TMC) staff and Central Command Center teams, while ensuring guest experiences meet Beyond Hospitality (BH) standards at airports, hotels, and stadiums. This is a field-based role with significant travel and requires adaptability, resilience, and comfort operating in dynamic, high-stakes environments.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Beyond Hospitality’s local operations representative across assigned Host Cities
  • Monitor daily transportation logistics and guest services at hotels, stadiums, and airports
  • Coordinate on-site with TMC Central Command Center managers, dispatchers, and contracted drivers
  • Ensure brand consistency by verifying uniforms, vehicle branding, and signage
  • Validate guest movement data and assist updating manifests, Free Sale inventory, and stop-sale triggers
  • Prepare daily operations reports for each match and quick status summaries to the Regional Manager
  • Identify execution gaps and recommend corrective measures (immediate and long-term)
  • Support coordination of contracted city-specific staff (e.g., greeters, logistics assistants) if deployed
  • Travel regularly to Host Cities to support operations staff and uphold all safety, regulatory, and compliance procedures
  • Support the department and collaborate with colleagues as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in event operations and/or transportation logistics/coordination
  • Hands-on experience managing multiple moving parts across dispersed locations
  • Deep knowledge of ground transportation operations and regulations
  • Strong project management, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent English (bilingual a plus)
  • Proficient in MS Office and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field
  • Experience working with transportation vendors and large-group logistics
  • Experience supporting client groups at a major tournament/event
