Duties

• Mow lawns, trim edges, and perform turf care using power tools and hand tools to ensure healthy, attractive grass areas.
• Maintain landscaped areas by planting, pruning trees and shrubs, and performing tree trimming to promote growth and safety.
• Operate machinery such as excavators, snow plows, and other construction or landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
• Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of gardens and lawns.
• Perform hardscape projects including the installation of pathways, patios, or retaining walls to enhance outdoor aesthetics.
• Conduct routine landscape maintenance tasks such as fertilizing, aerating soil, and mulching garden beds.
• Use hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools responsibly for various groundskeeping activities.
• Support gardening efforts by planting new greenery or replacing damaged plants to maintain vibrant landscapes.
• Ensure all grounds are safe by inspecting for hazards like fallen branches or uneven surfaces and addressing issues promptly.

Experience

• Prior experience in landscaping, lawn care, or grounds maintenance is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles, plant care techniques, and landscape design is advantageous.
• Familiarity with operating landscaping machinery such as mowers, excavators, or snow plows is a plus.
• Mechanical knowledge related to maintaining hand tools and power equipment ensures efficient operation and safety compliance.
• Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions with stamina and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems, tree care practices, and hardscape installation enhances your effectiveness in the role.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
