Job Title: Grounds Crew Member

Department: Golf Course

Immediate Supervisor: Golf Course Superintendent

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: Northwoods Golf Course is hiring a seasonal Grounds Crew Member to help maintain and present our scenic 9-hole golf course in Wisconsin’s Northwoods. Our golf season runs mid-May through the end of September. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in a well-kept course, and can work steadily and safely with minimal supervision. You’ll play a direct role in keeping the course looking its best and playing well for our members and guests.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain daily playing conditions and course appearance, including:

• Mowing and edging greens, tees, fairways, rough, and bunker faces
• Raking, edging, and maintaining bunkers as needed
• Hand-watering greens and monitoring dry areas to support turf health
• Trimming, blowing, and general course cleanup to keep the property neat and playable
• Safely operating and caring for equipment and power tools, including basic daily checks and cleanup after use
• Assisting with course setup tasks as needed (tee markers, flags/cups, light maintenance projects) QUALIFICATIONS:
• Reliable and punctual, with strong time management and the ability to prioritize daily tasks
• Comfortable working outdoors in changing Northwoods conditions
• Physically able to handle the demands of the job, including walking long distances, bending, lifting, and operating equipment
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and also contribute as part of a small team
• Experience with mowing, landscaping, groundskeeping, or equipment operation is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Pay Range starts between $16-$18.
