The Tree Guy is a leading tree care company serving Central Ohio, specializing in tree removal, stump grinding, land clearing, and emergency services. We’re all about safety, quality, and efficiency—and we’re looking for a Grounds Crew Member to join our hardworking team!

Job Summary

As a Grounds Crew Member, you’ll be the backbone of our tree crew, keeping job sites clean, assisting climbers and operators, and ensuring work is done safely and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a solid team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Job Site Prep & Cleanup – Set up job sites, drag and chip brush, rake debris, and leave properties looking great.
• Equipment Handling – Operate chainsaws, stump grinders, loaders, chainsaws, and other tools safely and efficiently.
• Assist Climbers & Crew – Help with rigging, manage ropes, and ensure climbers have what they need.
• Safety & Compliance – Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and help maintain a safe work environment.
• Load & Transport Materials – Assist with moving logs, brush, and equipment as needed.
• Basic Maintenance – Keep tools and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Previous work in tree care, landscaping, or outdoor labor is a plus but not required.
• Physical Fitness: Able to lift 50+ lbs, work in all weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Team Player: Works well with others, follows directions, and communicates effectively.
• Safety Awareness: Willing to learn and follow proper safety protocols.
• Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license preferred (CDL is a plus).

**Must be 18 years old with valid driver's license**
