Groundskeeper

Sansone Group is a full service commercial and residential firm, currently seeking a Groundskeeper for our Argentine Heights property located in Kansas City, Kansas. The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the exterior grounds and common areas of the residential property. This includes landscaping, minor maintenance tasks, and seasonal upkeep to ensure a welcoming environment for residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and flower beds by mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, and planting as needed
• Remove litter and debris from sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, and community spaces
• Sweep, blow, and pressure wash walkways and exterior surfaces
• Perform seasonal maintenance tasks such as leaf removal, snow and ice removal, and salting walkways
• Inspect and maintain outdoor amenities including playgrounds, benches, and grills
• Assist maintenance team with minor repair tasks and exterior upkeep
• Monitor property grounds for safety hazards and report any concerns to management
• Ensure proper use and storage of landscaping tools and equipment
• Follow safety protocols and company policies at all times

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance preferred
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers
• Basic understanding of lawn care, irrigation, and plant maintenance
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Work Environment:

• Outdoor environment; exposed to varying weather conditions
• May involve occasional use of hazardous materials and equipment
• Requires physical exertion and frequent movement
