Landscape Maintenance Apprentice

The Foreman Construction / Maintenance role is integral to this mission, ensuring that crews complete tasks safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position involves overseeing landscape maintenance programs and construction installation projects, including planting, lighting, drainage, hardscape, and irrigation installation. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a crew to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality in all tasks.
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance at all times.
• Work with crews to maintain the client and LLG standard of quality.
• Plan and schedule crew size, routes, and hours for maximum efficiency.
• Conduct end-of-day preparation and morning dispatch to ensure equipment is maintained and supplies are stocked.
• Inspect landscapes for issues with turf, trees, plants, and irrigation.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Facilitate onboarding and job start processes with the Production Manager.
• Promote continuous improvement through training, coaching, and development of crew members.
• Enforce company standards, including uniforms and equipment maintenance.
• Engage with clients to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscape maintenance or construction is preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, twist, lift up to 50 lbs., climb, and dig throughout the day.
• Knowledge of safe use of hand tools, power tools, and landscape equipment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
