Groundskeeper

We are looking for a responsible candidate to maintain and protect our facilities. The external appearance of a community reflects on the occupants. It is important for a grounds person to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on community upkeep. They will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in grounds maintenance jobs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure grounds are clean and clear of debris including along perimeter fence, retention ponds, dumpsters, parking lots and buildings.
• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets in amenities
• Maintain outer premises by watering plants and cleaning entrances
• Report minor and major damages
• Repair minor exterior items such as fence pickets, leaking faucets

Skills

• Proven experience as ground person or in a similar role
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Very good physical condition and strength
• High school diploma is preferred but not required

Pay: $13.00 per hour
