Groundskeeper 2

Job Description:

Under general supervision from supervisor or guidance from higher level staff, performs all duties required of Groundskeeper 1 plus skilled grounds maintenance tasks. Performs other duties as assigned; works primarily first shift within Facilities Operations and Development Landscape Services, but is subject to changes in shift, hours, days, and/or location as operations dictate; may work overtime; subject to 24 hour emergency call in. Will require successful completion of a criminal background check.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED; six (6) months experience in grounds maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience; upon employment, must pass and maintain current Ohio pesticide operator's license categories 6A or 6C and 8; requires valid Ohio driver license and evidence of satisfactory driving record for insurability by university. May be required to comply with periodic safety requirements prescribed by state and/or federal standards. Documentation of successful completion of department-specific, advanced grounds maintenance training.

The target hiring range for this job profile is $18.10-$24.89 per hour. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
