Group Commercial Finance & Cost Controller (F&B & Retail)

Taraf Group is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Finance & Cost Controller to oversee financial strategy, pricing, and profitability across a growing portfolio of hospitality and product brands including specialty coffee, roastery, dessert concepts, and modern F&B experiences.

This is a strategic leadership role for a finance professional who understands operations, menu engineering, integrators, and product pricing — not traditional accounting only.

About The Role

You will work directly with the founder to build financial structure across brands such as:

• Pull
• Unfolded
• ChillCha Matcha
• Berry Roastery
• Taraf product lines & future concepts

Your mission is to transform financial data into smart business decisions, improve margins, and support expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Finance & Strategy

• Build group dashboards showing brand performance, profitability, and sales channels.
• Analyze dine-in, delivery platforms (Talabat, Noon, etc.), and web sales performance.
• Support financial planning for new concepts, kiosks, and product launches.

Food Costing & Menu Engineering

• Manage recipe costing and pricing across multiple brands.
• Identify high-waste ingredients and low-margin products.
• Recommend pricing adjustments based on cost trends and commissions.

Roastery & Product Pricing (Berry)

• Develop pricing structures for coffee beans, matcha, and retail products.
• Monitor web store profitability and wholesale margins.
• Calculate roasting, packaging, and logistics costs.

Supplier & Purchasing Optimization

• Compare supplier quotations and negotiate pricing improvements.
• Build centralized purchasing strategies across brands.

VAT & Tax Coordination

• Oversee VAT processes and ensure compliance across entities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.

Executive Reporting

• Deliver weekly owner dashboards including:
• Net profit per brand
• Integrator performance
• Cashflow forecast
• Waste and inventory insights

Requirements

• Proven experience in F&B, coffee, hospitality, or retail finance.
• Strong understanding of food costing, menu engineering, and inventory control.
• Experience with POS systems and delivery platform reporting.
• Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills.
• Strategic thinker with operational awareness.
• UAE VAT knowledge preferred.
