To ensure the effective and efficient underwriting and processing of Group Life business, including new business, renewals, and policy amendments, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, documentation control, and service delivery. The role also supports Retakaful coordination and provides technical assistance to the Sales and Client Servicing teams.

Key Responsibilities 1. Operations

• Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate processing of new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and policy amendments for Group Life products.
• Verify that all underwriting activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

2. Policy & Documentation Control

• Review and verify group insurance documents, policy terms, agreements, and declarations before issuance.
• Manage and maintain accurate documentation for all policies including certificates, endorsements, debit/credit notes, and relevant correspondence.
• Ensure proper version control and secure storage of underwriting documentation.

3. Retakaful Coordination

• Maintain Retakaful logs and assist in the calculation of Retakaful premiums and claims recoveries.
• Support coordination with Retakaful partners for placement, reporting, and reconciliation activities.
• Provide timely and accurate underwriting feedback to Sales and Client Servicing teams to support client onboarding and policy issuance.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.

5. Data Management & Reporting

• Utilize strong Excel skills to maintain underwriting data, prepare reports, and support analysis of portfolio performance.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Group Life underwriting or a similar insurance function.
• Solid understanding of underwriting principles, insurance policy structures, and Retakaful processes.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational abilities.
