Job Summary

The Group Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth, secure, and uninterrupted operation of all network infrastructure across the organization’s companies and branches. This includes managing Meraki systems, VPN connectivity, CCTV infrastructure (UNV & Hikvision), and ensuring core applications such as Restaurant Manager, PIMS, and ERP systems run seamlessly. The engineer will proactively monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network performance while ensuring compliance with company standards and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain stable and reliable network connectivity across all branches and business units.
  • Manage and monitor Cisco Meraki systems, VPN tunnels, and site-to-site connections to ensure high availability.
  • Ensure CCTV systems (UNV and Hikvision) are fully functional, recording, and accessible as required.
  • Support and maintain the Restaurant Manager, PIMS, and ERP software systems’ connectivity and network dependencies.
  • Regularly perform network health checks, latency analysis, and bandwidth optimization to prevent congestion.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
  • Resolve IP conflicts, assign proper IP addressing schemes, and maintain a clean IP inventory.
  • Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewall policies, access control, and VLAN segregation.
  • Ensure Wi-Fi coverage across offices, restaurants, and facilities is stable and meets performance standards.
  • Provide 24/7 support to staff for network-related issues, ensuring minimum downtime and quick recovery.
  • Monitor and document network incidents, maintain logs, and generate weekly reports for the Head of IT.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment maintenance, upgrades, and new installations.
  • Participate in IT infrastructure planning for new branches and projects.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of hands-on experience in network administration and support.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Meraki, VPN configurations, and firewall management.
  • Experience with CCTV systems (UNV, Hikvision) and remote monitoring platforms.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments, DNS/DHCP, and IP subnetting.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi issues.
  • Understanding of network security, including VLANs, ACLs, and encryption protocols.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and handle multiple sites simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Willingness to provide round-the-clock support when required.
