Guitar Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Guitar Teacher to join our music education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a love for teaching students of all ages, particularly children. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to achieve their musical goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's skill level and learning style.
• Teach guitar techniques, music theory, and performance skills in a structured yet creative manner.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student engagement and enthusiasm for learning.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to enhance their musical abilities.
• Organize recitals or performances to showcase student achievements and build confidence.
• Collaborate with parents to discuss student progress and address any concerns or questions.
• Stay updated on current teaching methods, curriculum development, and educational resources.

Experience

• Proven experience in teaching music, specifically guitar, to children or students in various age groups.
• Background in childhood education is preferred; experience in classroom settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with curriculum development related to music education.
• Ability to teach bass or ukulele considered an asset.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students and parents alike.
• A passion for educating young minds and nurturing their love for music.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
