We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Gym Receptionist to be the first point of contact for members and visitors. As a receptionist, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the daily operations of the gym.
- Greet and check in members and guests with a positive and professional attitude.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about memberships, classes, and facilities.
- Process new memberships, renewals, and cancellations.
- Handle point-of-sale transactions for merchandise, beverages, and services.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for personal training or classes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and reception area.
- Enforce gym rules and policies in a polite but firm manner.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures, including securing the facility.
Desired candidate profile
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with members and staff.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software, especially point-of-sale (POS) systems and scheduling software.
- A positive and energetic attitude, creating a welcoming atmosphere and motivating members.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with gym-related tasks, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Fluency in English, and proficiency in other languages is a plus, enhancing communication with diverse members.
