Gymnastics Coach - Female

JOB OVERVIEW

Absolute Gymnastics is seeking a motivated and passionate Gymnastics Coach to become part of our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structured and engaging training sessions, monitoring athlete development, overseeing equipment safety, and maintaining a positive training environment.

This role requires strong leadership, organizational capability, and a genuine commitment to developing athletes across all levels. The coach will also support events, competitions, and collaborative programs while working closely with internal teams.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Session Planning & Delivery:
Prepare and conduct well-structured training sessions tailored to various ability levels each term. Ensure progressive skill development, physical conditioning, and technical excellence in line with academy standards.

2. Athlete Monitoring:
Maintain accurate attendance records and track athlete participation to support consistent development and performance evaluation.

3. Technical Standards:
Implement up-to-date coaching methodologies and syllabus requirements within squad training. Promote continuous improvement and maintain high coaching quality across all sessions.

4. Program Development:
Incorporate modern training approaches to enhance athlete readiness for both local and international competitions.

5. Equipment & Facility Management:
Supervise the setup and dismantling of apparatus before and after sessions. Ensure the training environment remains safe, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

6. Professional Conduct & Preparation:
Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled sessions to ensure proper preparation and smooth class execution.

7. Safeguarding & First Aid:
Adhere strictly to child protection and safeguarding policies. Provide first aid assistance when required to maintain a secure training atmosphere.

8. Team Supervision:
Coordinate and oversee assistant and part-time coaches, ensuring alignment in program delivery and team collaboration.

9. Client Engagement & Retention:
Support venue performance objectives by maintaining high service standards and building strong relationships with athletes and parents.

10. Communication:
Provide regular updates to parents and participants regarding training progress, events, and competition schedules.

11. Events & Competitions:
Assist in organizing biannual in-house competitions and support athletes during external events, encouraging professionalism and confidence.

12. Cross-Department Support:
Collaborate with other departments, including school and camp programs, to deliver high-quality gymnastics instruction within the wider community.

13. Reporting Line:
Reports directly to the Academy Manager – Infinite Sports LLC / Absolute Sports LLC.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum British Gymnastics Level 2 certification (or equivalent recognized qualification)
  • Minimum 3 years of coaching experience
  • Valid driving license
  • Safeguarding certification
  • Current First Aid qualification
  • Valid Police Clearance

Core Skills:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience coaching from recreational to competitive levels
  • Ability to supervise and guide junior coaching staff
  • Proficient in MS Office and basic reporting

Additional Details:

  • Programs include Recreational, Intermediate, Advanced, and Competitive streams (Artistic or Rhythmic).
  • Performance will be assessed through term-based KPIs and venue evaluations.
  • Commitment, flexibility, and professionalism are essential for success in this role.
