Gynecologist

India

A gynecologist is a medical doctor specializing in women's reproductive health. They are responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions related to the female reproductive system, offering prenatal and postnatal care, advising on contraception and fertility, and performing surgeries when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct physical examinations and evaluate patient medical histories.

Diagnose and treat disorders related to the female reproductive system (e.g., menstrual problems, hormonal imbalances, infections).

Provide comprehensive prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care.

Perform and assist in gynecological procedures and surgeries (e.g., hysterectomies, cesarean sections, D&C, laparoscopy).

Offer family planning, contraception, and fertility counseling.

Manage high-risk pregnancies and childbirth.

Screen for reproductive cancers (e.g., breast, cervical, ovarian).

Educate patients about sexual health, menopause, hygiene, and disease prevention.

Interpret diagnostic tests such as Pap smears, ultrasounds, and blood panels.

Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.

Collaborate with nurses, midwives, radiologists, anesthetists, and other medical professionals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: MBBS with MD/MS or DNB in Obstetrics & Gynecology; DGO may be acceptable depending on experience.

License: Valid medical registration with the appropriate state/national medical council.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹32,880.68 - ₹160,156.31 per month
