Gypsum carpenter

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and install gypsum boards (drywall) based on blueprints or instructions.
• Build and install metal or wooden framing for gypsum partitions and ceilings.
• Install suspended (false) ceilings using gypsum board or ceiling tiles.
• Apply joint compound and tape to seams and corners to create a smooth finish.
• Sand and finish surfaces in preparation for painting or decoration.
• Repair damaged drywall or ceiling sections.
• Ensure work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and design specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and other trades on construction sites.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
