Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and energetic Hairstylist Braider to join our vibrant salon team! Duties

• Perform a variety of braiding styles including box braids, cornrows, twists, and intricate updos tailored to client preferences
• Apply hair extensions seamlessly to add length, volume, or color accents while maintaining healthy hair practices
• Consult with clients to understand their desired look, offering expert advice on styles, maintenance, and hair care routines
• Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations using proper sanitation procedures for tools and workstations
• Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client record management, and retail sales tracking
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and upselling retail products like hair care items and accessories
• Mentor junior stylists or apprentices by sharing techniques related to hair threading, makeup application, or nail care to foster skill development

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with proven experience in professional hairstyling and braiding techniques
• Demonstrated proficiency in hair extensions application and styling using various methods including sew-in, clip-in, or tape-in extensions
• Knowledge of color theory for advising clients on color treatments that complement their skin tone and style preferences
• Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management; experience with retail math and upselling is a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively understand client needs and provide personalized recommendations
• Ability to perform sanitation procedures meticulously to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Experience with eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, or hair threading is desirable but not mandatory
• Store management skills including front desk operations and mentoring team members are advantageous
