Job Purpose
-
The Hard Services Solutions Engineer is responsible for supporting the bid process and submission from receipt of RFP (or earlier where appropriate) through to award consistent with policy and processes, supporting the Bid Manager.

Working with the Soft Services Solutions Engineer, cross functionally and with supply chain as appropriate, champion and devise a winning bid through designing an optimal solution and providing effective leadership, inspiration and support to the team.

The role shall ensure appropriate input from all internal and external stakeholders to achieve a tender submission and contract award that meets the requirements of the RFP and sanctioned authority.

The role will be the primary liaison with the client for site visits and will coordinate the manpower requirements and associated subcontractor and consumables/spares requirements for the bid.

In large complex projects the role will be responsible for supporting the Bid Manager in developing the Facilities Management element of the bid and writing the technical submissions and service methodology.
Qualifications
Bachelors level Degree or equivalent in engineering, or Business or FM related discipline. Relevant technical and commercial qualifications, certification and/or accreditations relating to the Facilities Management Sector are a plus
Experience:
3 to 5 years’ experience in hard services operations
Preference will be given to candidate in Facilities Management
Roles, Responsibilities, Duties

Should work as an active team member of business development process.

Coordinate & interact with other team members to understand the service requirements com pletely and develop effective service delivery models.

Conduct the technical reviews and analyse client requirements for new tenders and client requests. Build the service delivery models more cost effective by applying optimum methods to minimise costing.

Completing site visits and gathering the required information. Providing the required project provisions (labour, materials, equipment etc) as well as reviewing and analysing the scope of works, drawings, SAL's & KPl's and designing an appropriate solution

Obtain maximum accuracy in technical reviews and site-based surveys in terms of identifying the cost components and establishing effective delivery models.

Develop and implement standard data gathering and comparative tools to make the process effective on regular basis.

Conduct basic analysis on the delivery models in comparison with similar service requirements and bench mark the service elements case to case basis.

Write service proposals for various service methods and apply constant improvements in specified proposal templates.

Support Bid Manager in the bidding process by providing analytical reports and coordinate with other team members as and when required.

To support the conversion of work winning opportunities into successful and profitable contracts

To support the creation of a bid strategy and work with the bid team other Work Winning resources to identify, capture and develop win themes

To develop a bid programme and having identified necessary resources, secure support from Work Winning and Operational leaders

To ensure that submission documents are complete and fully responsive to formal and informal questions posed in the customers bid documentation.

To co-ordinate the necessary and appropriate management reviews during the bid process, including the presentation of Key Targets updates and bid proposals for review and audit.

To ensure that a bid is submitted on time and in the required format
