Hardscape Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hardscape Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on outdoor construction projects, particularly in hardscaping, and possess a strong work ethic. This role involves assisting with the installation and maintenance of various hardscape elements such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other landscape features. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and capable of operating a range of tools and equipment to support project completion.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and layout of hardscape projects according to blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently to install concrete, masonry, stonework, and other landscape features.
• Perform tasks related to concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work including laying bricks, pavers, or tiles.
• Support in excavation, grading, and site preparation for outdoor construction projects.
• Assist with the installation of drainage systems, plumbing connections, electrical components, or other infrastructure as needed.
• Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean work area and properly care for tools and equipment used during projects.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction site work or outdoor landscaping preferred.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings is advantageous.
• Familiarity with various construction techniques including concrete finishing, masonry, plastering, stucco application, roofing, framing carpentry, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, welding, restoration work, glass installation, cabinet installation, caulking, trim carpentry, fabrication, and remodeling is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment safely.
• Experience with construction management or estimating is a plus but not required.
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor outdoors for extended periods.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and quality standards.
