Head Cashier

Job Title: Head Cashier

Department: Accounts

Experience: 2-3 Years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage all cashier staff and assign daily tasks.
  • Handle all cash transactions, including receiving, counting, and balancing.
  • Verify cash deposits, petty cash, and reconcile balances at the end of each shift/day.
  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, cash handling procedures, and financial regulations.
  • Resolve discrepancies, errors, or cash shortages promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle escalated customer complaints related to billing or payments.
  • Train, guide, and evaluate cashier team performance.
  • Coordinate with accounts/finance department for cash submissions and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions for audit purposes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and POS/cash management systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
