The Company:

A contemporary Mediterranean bistro (fine dinning)(non alcholic)

The Role:

The Head Chef is responsible for managing the kitchen activities and operations. To supervise and facilitate training on all food preparation and execution of all menu items and procedure recipes to all kitchen staff as well as hiring and recruiting new members of staff.

Major Responsibilities:

• Control and direct the food preparation process
• Emphasis on implementing consistency in quality and presentation that adhere to company’s standards
• Forward plan and order equipment or ingredients according to shortages
• Effective at cost control and maintaining vendor relationships
• Maintaining food safety and sanitation practices in compliance with the municipal health department standards
• Hands on in the operation and therefore should be proficient in all sections of the kitchen
• Ensuring the successful ongoing profitable operations and to maintain consistent Standards of Operations
• Conducts such function as interviewing, hiring, employee orientation, performance appraisal coaching, counselling and suspension if necessary to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity

Qualifications & Desired Skills:

• Have at least 10 years' experience with at least 5 years in the Dubai with fine dinning mediterranean
• Degree in Culinary science or related certificate
• Be able to recruit, train and oversee a dedicated central kitchen
• Extremely sound knowledge in all the functional areas of kitchen operations
• Leadership Skills
• Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management as well as understanding on financials
• Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills
• Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
• Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
• Credentials in health and safety training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
