Head Chef (R&D)

We are looking for a highly creative and experienced Head Chef (Research & Development) to lead menu innovation, recipe development, and culinary improvement across our restaurant brands. This role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional who combines strong kitchen operations knowledge with creativity, food trends awareness, and cost-conscious menu development.

As Head Chef (R&D), you will be responsible for creating new dishes, improving existing menu items, standardizing recipes, and supporting operational excellence across multiple outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Develop new menu items, seasonal specials, and innovative food concepts
✅ Improve existing recipes based on quality, presentation, and guest feedback
✅ Conduct food trials, tastings, and product testing
✅ Standardize recipes, portion sizes, and cooking methods across branches
✅ Ensure food cost targets are achieved through smart ingredient planning
✅ Research market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences
✅ Work closely with operations, marketing, and procurement teams
✅ Train kitchen teams on new dishes, plating, and execution standards
✅ Maintain consistency, quality, and brand identity across all menus
✅ Source and test new ingredients, suppliers, and equipment

Requirements:

✔ Proven experience as Head Chef / R&D Chef in restaurants or hospitality groups
✔ Strong creativity with modern food trends and menu development
✔ Excellent understanding of food costing, budgeting, and margins
✔ Multi-brand or multi-unit experience is an advantage
✔ Strong leadership and communication skills
✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
✔ GCC experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to KD1,000.000 per month
