Position Overview-Head Host
A Head Host (or Head Hostess) manages the front-of-house team in a restaurant or hospitality setting, acting as the lead for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring service standards. They often oversee table allocations, train junior staff, and act as the main point of contact for guest inquiries, acting as a "master of the house."
Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervising host/hostesses, scheduling shifts, and managing training.
  • Reservations Management: Coordinating bookings, managing table layouts, and managing flow in high-standard or busy environments.
  • Guest Experience: Greeting guests, providing concierge-level service, and addressing any complaints.
  • Communication: Acting as a bridge between the front-of-house staff (waiters) and management.
Job Requirements
  • Previous experience in hosting or front-of-house supervision.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-paced, high-standard environments.
