Role Summary
The
Head – Airport Logistics
leads the AD Airports Logistics section, ensuring efficient and accurate
Materials Requirements Planning (MRP)
and maintaining optimal inventory levels of materials and products at all times. The role is responsible for defining and implementing
policies and operational procedures
that enable effective management of materials, project items, and warehouse space utilization across all storage locations, in alignment with
ADAC’s policies and procedures
. Additionally, the Head oversees and manages the
performance of third-party logistics service providers
, ensuring the delivery of high-quality warehouse and logistics operations that meet organizational standards and service excellence objectives.
Major Areas of Responsibility
1. Managerial – Strategic Planning
-
Prepare and communicate sectional objectives and plans aligned with divisional/departmental strategic goals and
ADAC’s OGSM
framework.

Manage the execution of sectional objectives and performance plans.
-
Propose KPIs for the section and its employees to align with organizational goals.
-
Develop and implement optimal
supply chain strategies
for categories managed through the AD Airports Logistics function.
2. Functional Responsibilities
-
Coordinate with key end users to ensure exceptional service delivery across AD Airports Logistics and the broader supply chain.

Implement
best-practice supply chain methods
that support airport strategic goals.
-
Lead the development of
inventory forecasts
, defining stockholding capacities, setting min/max levels, and developing replenishment strategies to meet operational needs.

Oversee
MRP accuracy
, establishing policies to minimize inventory setbacks and maintain adequate stock levels.
-
Ensure timely and accurate
stock counts
per ADAC inventory management guidelines.
-
Control and monitor
inventory processes
(perpetual, cycle, and physical counts) and investigate discrepancies to eliminate overstocks and obsolete materials.

Review and approve
Purchase Requisitions (PRs)
and internal material transfers for replenishment.
-
Maintain an effective
Inventory Management System (IMS)
, ensuring accurate data, stock values, and material movement records.
-
Review and monitor
product master data/catalogues
, resolving discrepancies between stock and system records.
-
Define and enforce
policies and operational procedures
for material, project item, and warehouse space management.
-
Oversee
third-party logistics (3PL) performance
for warehouse and logistics operations.
-
Support the
VP Supply Chain
in warehouse layout optimization projects to enhance capacity and performance.
-
Supervise
material quality control
, audits, and adherence to standards, including MSDS and reference documentation.
-
Coordinate efficient
material storage and handling
for maximum accessibility and operational efficiency.
-
Manage timely
scrapping and disposal
of obsolete or damaged stock in accordance with procedures.
-
Ensure prompt
issuance of acceptance certificates
after quality inspections.
-
Perform additional duties as assigned by the reporting manager.
3. Inbound and Outbound Operations
-
Oversee
inbound and outbound goods operations
, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with airport requirements.
-
Serve as the primary liaison between logistics operations and
concession partners
, supporting the commercial team in ensuring timely deliveries and high concessionaire satisfaction.

Maintain strong relationships with concessioners and internal stakeholders to uphold service standards.
4. Fleet and Workshop Management
-
Oversee
airport vehicle fleet operations
, including utilization, maintenance, and lifecycle management to ensure operational readiness and cost efficiency.
-
Implement
fleet optimization strategies
through preventive maintenance, fuel efficiency programs, and performance monitoring.
-
Lead the
airport workshop team
to ensure timely, high-quality maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
-
Drive
automation of workshop operations
using digital tools to enhance efficiency, transparency, and reporting accuracy.
-
Monitor and control
fleet and workshop budgets
to ensure cost effectiveness.
5. Organizational Governance
-
Ensure adherence to departmental
policies and procedures
as defined by leadership.
-
Ensure compliance with
HR, Legal, Risk, Quality Assurance
, and
ADAC’s governance and Delegation of Authority (DOA)
frameworks.
-
Participate in
policy and process audits
, ensuring corrective measures and continuous improvement.
6. Management Reporting
-
Prepare and submit
periodic reports
for the section and contribute inputs to divisional reports.

Recommend and implement
remedial actions
for quality or compliance issues identified in reviews.
7. Change Management
-
Lead and drive
change management initiatives
within the section.

Ensure effective
stakeholder communication
as per approved communication plans.
8. Technology Management
-
Identify and define
technology needs
to enable automation, cost optimization, and process improvement.

Participate in

10. Budget Management

Develop and monitor the
sectional budget

Collaborate with the Department Head to identify and implement

Identify

within the team, with a focus on
Emiratization
and capability building.

Ensure adequate staffing by contributing to the
annual workforce planning process
.

Provide constructive
performance feedback
to direct reports and share input with the Department Head.
Education and Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain & Logistics (or equivalent discipline).
Experience:
-
Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain/Logistics
