Position Summary
The Head of Centralized Foreign Trade will lead and manage the Bank’s centralized trade operations function, ensuring efficient processing, compliance, risk management, and service delivery for all foreign trade products and services. The incumbent will oversee import/export operations, guarantees, remittances, and trade finance activities while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and international trade practices.
Qualification
- Minimum Graduate; preference will be given to candidates holding an MBA in Banking & Finance from an HEC recognized university.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Trade roles within Financial Institutions.
- At least 3 years of experience in senior-level positions or as Head of Trade.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead and manage centralized foreign trade operations across the institution.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, turnaround time, and customer service standards.
- Ensure smooth processing of trade finance transactions including:
- Letters of Credit (LCs)
- Import & Export Bills
- Bank Guarantees
- Collections
- Shipping Guarantees
- Foreign Remittances
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and service quality across trade operations units.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with:
- State Bank regulations
- ICC guidelines (UCP 600, URC, ISP98, etc.)
- AML/CFT requirements
- Internal audit and compliance standards
- Identify operational and transactional risks and implement effective control mechanisms.
- Coordinate with compliance, risk, and audit teams to address observations and regulatory matters.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop trade operations teams.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct performance evaluations and training needs assessments for staff development.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with correspondent banks, regulators, internal departments, and corporate/business teams.
- Support business units in structuring trade-related solutions for clients.
- Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Drive digitization and automation initiatives within trade operations.
- Review and improve SOPs, operational controls, and service delivery mechanisms.
- Ensure proper utilization of trade finance systems and technology platforms.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare and present periodic MIS reports related to trade operations, volumes, compliance, and risk indicators.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational benchmarks.
Pay: Rs900,000.00 - Rs1,200,000.00 per hour
