Job Descriptions:
The Head of Construction & Design leads the planning, design, and execution of all store construction and renovation projects across the company. This role ensures business objectives are translated into efficient, brand-aligned, safe, and cost-effective store environments. The role requires effective coordination with internal stakeholders, an in-house architect, site supervisors, and external architectural and construction partners to deliver high-quality, on-time, and on-budget projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Develop long- and short-term construction plans based on expansion and maintenance needs.
- Translate business and operational requirements into detailed project plans and construction timelines.
- Forecast resource needs, budgets, and schedules to support smooth execution.
2. Design Coordination & Visualization
- Oversee an in-house architect responsible for capturing internal requirements and developing initial visual concepts.
- Translate business needs into clear briefs for external architectural partners.
- Ensure all designs meet brand identity, functionality, regulatory compliance, and safety standards (e.g., food safety, HSE).
- Liaise with the Excellence function to receive approved layout plans, which will form the basis of architectural execution.
- Ensure proper handover of completed facilities via structured documentation and internal transfer protocols.
3. Partner & Vendor Management
- Liaise with architectural and construction firms to ensure alignment and execution of design vision and construction scope.
- Review and approve design proposals and construction plans; negotiate contracts where needed.
- Ensure vendors deliver on quality, timeliness, safety, and cost expectations.
4. Construction Oversight
- Supervise site supervisors to monitor site progress and ensure execution as per approved design.
- Visit project sites regularly to review progress, troubleshoot, and maintain quality standards.
- Ensure all construction complies with environmental, health & safety, and legal regulations.
5. Budget & Performance Management
- Develop and manage construction budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility across projects.
- Own end-to-end responsibility for project spending and ensure all expenditures are tracked and documented.
- Maintain audit-ready records and support internal reviews related to construction project budgets.
- Monitor project performance, timeline adherence, and cost variance; take corrective action as needed.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on project milestones, risks, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 10 years experience in managing retail or QSR construction projects.
- Strong understanding of architectural processes, regulatory codes, and food/environmental safety standards.
- Proven leadership and ability to manage large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.

Job Details:
- Working Days: Monday - Friday
- Working Timings: 10AM - 6PM
- Location: DHA 6 - Lahore Pakistan
