About the Role,
The Digital Marketing Director plays a central role in shaping the brand’s digital presence, desirability, and commercial performance across global markets. This leadership position is responsible for developing and executing an integrated digital strategy that accelerates business growth, enhances brand equity, and delivers a world-class omnichannel customer experience.
The ideal candidate is a visionary yet hands-on leader with deep digital expertise, luxury sensibility, and strong commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Strategy & Leadership
• Define and execute the global digital marketing vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with brand positioning, retail strategy, and commercial targets.
• Create a multi-year digital growth strategy covering brand, content, e-commerce, CRM, data, and performance marketing.
• Establish digital KPIs, dashboards, and governance frameworks to measure performance and guide decision-making.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives, advocating for best-in-class digital practices and customer-first mindset across the organization.
2. Brand Digital Experience
• Ensure consistency of luxury brand image, tone, and creative direction across all digital channels.
• Oversee digital storytelling, asset development, visual content, photography, and video production.
• Maintain elevated brand presence across luxury-relevant touchpoints, social platforms, search, and emerging digital ecosystems.
3. Performance Marketing & Customer Acquisition
• Own end-to-end paid media strategy including search, display, social, affiliate, retargeting, marketplaces, and partnerships.
• Develop advanced performance media models: audience segmentation, lifetime value optimization, attribution, funnel conversion, A/B testing.
• Maximize digital ROI and reduce cost of acquisition through continuous optimization.
4. E-Commerce & Omnichannel Activation
• Drive online revenue growth through data-driven traffic acquisition, conversion rate optimization, product merchandising, UX/UI enhancements, and content quality.
• Oversee e-merchandising strategy, product launches, pricing governance, and category performance.
• Partner with retail teams to connect digital and physical journeys (appointment booking, clienteling, “buy online / collect in store,” client CRM sync, etc.)
• Ensure seamless luxury digital client experience from discovery to post-purchase service.
5. CRM, Personalization & Loyalty
• Shape CRM and data strategy to strengthen customer lifecycle value, loyalty, and retention.
• Implement advanced segmentation, automation journeys, trigger-based campaigns, and personalization engines.
• Oversee loyalty program strategy, VIP digital clienteling, and high-value client activation.
6. Social Media, Influencer & Community
• Lead global social media strategy, platform prioritization, and content architecture.
• Manage influencer, content creator, and celebrity partnerships aligned with brand positioning.
• Oversee paid social, organic growth, community engagement, and sentiment analysis.
• Monitor cultural trends, competitive landscape, and emerging platforms.
7. Data, Analytics & Technology
• Develop data intelligence capabilities and performance dashboards with BI and Data Science teams.
• Govern marketing technology stack (CRM, CDP, CMS, automation, analytics, pixeling).
• Ensure robust data governance, privacy compliance, and ethical data usage.
• Foster test-and-learn approach, using insight to innovate and refine strategy.
8. Team Leadership & Agency Management
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing digital organization across performance media, CRM, content, e-commerce, and social teams.
• Manage digital vendors, creative agencies, performance agencies, and technology partners to ensure excellence, accountability, and innovation.
• Inspire a culture of excellence, agility, creativity, and analytical rigor.
Experience & Background
• 7+ years of progressive digital marketing leadership experience in luxury, retail, fashion, beauty, or premium consumer brands.
• Proven track record driving profitable digital business growth in multi-market environments.
• Deep understanding of luxury customer behavior, brand building, and high-end content aesthetics.
• Experience leading CRM personalization, performance funnels, and digital commerce ecosystems.
• Hands-on expertise in managing global digital marketing budgets and performance metrics.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, or related field.
• Master’s or MBA preferred.
Technical & Functional Skills
• Expertise in:
o Digital acquisition & paid media
o CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Adobe, etc.)
o CDP, analytics, attribution platforms
o E-commerce platforms (Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento)
o SEO/SEM, UX, CRO
o Data analytics & BI tools (Google Analytics, GA4, Power BI, Looker)
• Strong capability in content direction, creative briefing, and campaign orchestration.
