Job Title: E-Commerce Head- Marketplaces

Location: Netaji Subhash Place, Delhi, India

Experience: 8-12 Years

Role Overview

The Head of E-Commerce will lead the digital commerce strategy for Mars Cosmetics, driving revenue growth across D2C platforms, marketplaces, social commerce, and omnichannel retail. This role requires a data-driven leader with strong commercial acumen, deep understanding of beauty consumer behavior, and the ability to build a high-performing digital team.


Key Responsibilities

1. E-Commerce Strategy & Business Growth

  • Develop and own the end-to-end e-commerce strategy across D2C, marketplaces (Nykaa, Amazon, Flipkart, etc.), and new digital channels.
  • Set revenue targets and create actionable plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual growth goals.
  • Identify new digital business opportunities, partnerships, and technology solutions.

2. Marketplace Management

  • Drive marketplace P&L including sales planning, inventory forecasting, promotions, and merchandising.
  • Manage relationships with category managers and advertising teams across platforms.
  • Lead marketplace-specific campaigns and ensure high discoverability and visibility (SEO, ratings, reviews, A+ content).

3. Performance Marketing & Growth

  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team on paid campaigns (Meta, Google, affiliate, influencer performance).
  • Allocate budgets based on ROI, CAC, LTV, and channel efficiency.
  • Monitor analytics dashboards to identify trends and optimize the marketing funnel.

4. Operations & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Ensure smooth order fulfillment, returns management, and customer experience across all platforms.
  • Work closely with supply chain and warehouse teams on stock availability, forecasts, and demand planning.
  • Reduce operational costs by optimizing logistics, packaging, and delivery performance.

5. Brand & Content Collaboration

  • Partner with the brand and creative teams to develop product launches, digital assets, content calendars, and storytelling.
  • Drive product visibility through enhanced content, video, and influencer-led commerce.

6. Analytics & Reporting

  • Build dashboards for sales reports, campaign performance, inventory levels, and customer insights.
  • Use data to identify gaps, opportunities, and strategic shifts.
  • Present monthly/quarterly business reviews to leadership.

7. Leadership & Team Management

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing e-commerce team.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, finance, and product teams.
  • Implement SOPs and streamline workflows to improve efficiency.


Key Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or related fields.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in e-commerce, with at least 3 years leading a team.
  • Experience in beauty, cosmetics, skincare, or FMCG preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of D2C platforms (Shopify/Magento), marketplace dynamics, and digital growth.
  • Expertise in performance marketing, analytics tools (GA4, Shopify Analytics, PowerBI, Looker), and CRM systems.
  • Proven ability to drive P&L, manage budgets, and scale e-commerce revenue.
  • Strong project management, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
  • Creative problem-solver with a consumer-first mindset
