Job Purpose:
To lead and oversee the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all facility services, ensuring the delivery of reliable, safe, and efficient utilities (such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water, sanitation, elevators, cleaning, etc.) while ensuring compliance with applicable safety, quality, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilities Operations Management:
- Supervise the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all facility services.
- Ensure uninterrupted service delivery and timely technical support when needed.
- Maintenance Planning and Supervision:
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for all systems.
- Monitor and ensure quality execution of maintenance work.
- Team and Contractor Oversight:
- Manage technical teams including supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers, and evaluate their performance.
- Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Participate in risk assessments and emergency preparedness planning.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on the status of facilities, maintenance activities, and improvement needs.
- Analyze performance data to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Assist in preparing and managing the department’s annual budget.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
- Process Improvement and Innovation:
- Identify opportunities for service improvement and cost reduction.
- Recommend upgrades or changes to enhance facility performance and sustainability.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external contractors.
- Proficiency in analyzing operational data and making informed decisions.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, and technical regulations.
