Position Overview

The Head of Finance is responsible for leading the financial strategy, management, and control of the company’s financial operations. This role ensures sound financial planning, regulatory compliance, effective cost management, and strategic decision support to drive profitability and sustainable growth within the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s overall business goals.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with production plans and sales forecasts.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis to support decision-making for capital investments, product pricing, and new business ventures.

2. Financial Control & Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
  • Monitor working capital, liquidity, and cash flow to ensure operational stability.
  • Manage internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies or fraud.

3. Cost & Performance Management

  • Establish cost accounting systems suited to manufacturing operations (e.g., standard costing, variance analysis).
  • Drive efficiency initiatives by analyzing production costs, material variances, and overheads.
  • Collaborate with operations to optimize supply chain finance and inventory management.

4. Treasury & Risk Management

  • Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and auditors.
  • Oversee treasury operations including cash management, financing facilities, and debt obligations.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks related to currency fluctuations, credit exposure, and raw material pricing.

5. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with corporate, regulatory, and environmental financial standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits and maintain transparent relationships with auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Uphold strong governance, ethics, and financial discipline across departments.

6. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor the finance team to enhance analytical, accounting, and reporting capabilities.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with production, procurement, and sales teams.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance function.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent; MBA (Finance) preferred.
  • Experience: 10–15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance role within a manufacturing or industrial business.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with IFRS and local tax regulations.
  • Soft Skills: Strategic thinking, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
  • Cost reduction and margin improvement.
  • Working capital efficiency (DSO, DPO, inventory turnover).
  • Timely financial reporting and compliance.
  • Team development and retention.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
