Head of Human Resources

Are you a strategic leader who isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and build from the ground up and who has a passion for "crew member" engagement?

ONPOINT Business Solutions is an HR consultancy partnering with Verde on the search for their next Head of Human Resources .  Verde is undergoing an exciting HR operational transformation in 2026, and we are looking for a Head of Human Resources to lead the charge.

Reporting the CEO as the most senior HR leader and a key member of Verde’s leadership team, you will own the entire HR function. This is fundamentally a  builder role —you will design, launch, and measure programs that reduce turnover, strengthen the employee experience, and build a highly scalable HR infrastructure across all seven states we operate in. We want our crew members engaged, retained, and supported.

If you are just as comfortable presenting workforce strategy to the executive board as you are building an SOP, configuring a dashboard, or coaching a frontline supervisor, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Transformation:  Drive our 2026 HR operational transformation, building a robust HR operating system from the ground up.
  • Own the Talent Lifecycle:  Create and execute strategies with measurable KPI movement across talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation & benefits, performance management, L&D, career advancement, and retention.
  • Bridge the Gap:  Act as the vital link between management and employees, handling concerns, fostering a positive work environment, and deeply shaping Verde’s culture.
  • Data-Driven Hiring:  Leverage behavioral assessment tools to evaluate candidate fit and build high-performing teams.
  • Tactical Execution:  Balance high-level leadership with hands-on functional execution—whether that means drafting new policies or mentoring staff.
  • Ensure Compliance & Mitigate Risk:  Oversee multi-state employment law compliance, manage workplace investigations, and ensure consistent policy enforcement across all operating regions.
  • Lead Labor Relations:  Partner with operations to manage union relationships, support collective bargaining processes, and proactively mitigate labor risk while maintaining productive working relationships.
  • Oversee Payroll & Benefits Administration:  Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while continuously optimizing benefits strategy and vendor partnerships.

Who You Are:

  • A Proven Builder:  You have 3 to 5 years of experience at or above the Manager level, leading HR teams, and thrive in environments where you can design infrastructure and see the direct impact of your work.
  • A Strategic Mindset:  You possess the leadership presence necessary to advise the leadership team and present clear workforce strategies.
  • A Culture Champion:  You are passionate about attracting, growing, and retaining top talent while cultivating a thriving, positive workplace.
  • Hands-On & Analytical:  You are eager to get into the weeds to configure systems and dashboards, making data-backed decisions to drive HR success.
  • Other Requirements & Preferences:  You have a 4-year college degree in HR, organizational design/development, business or related field. Proven track record of reducing turnover in a high-volume, hourly workforce environment. Strong knowledge of employment law across multiple states. Experience with HRIS systems (ADP preferred) and workforce analytics/dashboards. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at the executive level and connect with frontline employees. Prefer you are bi-lingual in English and Spanish. Have an HR certification from SHRM or HCI. Experience in facilities services, janitorial, cleaning, hospitality, or similar multi-site operation. Experience supporting an organization through a high-growth or transformation period. Experience with behavioral assessment and candidate profiling tools.

Estimated Salary: $110,000 - $159,000, plus benefits and generous PTO.

If this sounds like an exciting opportunity to you, let’s move this forward.
