Head of Human Resources – North America
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Head of Human Resources
to lead both the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of HR across a multi-site manufacturing organization. This individual will play a key role in aligning people strategies with business objectives, strengthening organizational capabilities, and driving a high-performance, adaptable culture.
This position operates within a global, matrixed environment, requiring strong collaboration with international HR leadership and regional business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute HR strategies that align with both regional business needs and global standards

Partner with senior leadership to support organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development initiatives

Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, confidently navigating complex, multi-country stakeholder environments

Lead core HR functions, including:

Talent acquisition and onboarding
-
Performance management
-
Leadership development
-
Compensation and benefits
-
Succession planning
-
Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, culture, and organizational effectiveness

Evaluate and strengthen the HR function, including implementation or optimization of shared services models
-
Lead, coach, and develop the HR team to ensure strong performance and capability growth
-
Manage complex employee relations issues across multiple sites
-
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations, particularly within a highly regulated manufacturing environment

Oversee HR systems, reporting, and data management, including SAP SuccessFactors
-
Standardize and improve HR processes, policies, and workflows
-
Collaborate with global counterparts to ensure alignment and consistency across regions
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred)

Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including:

At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment

At least 3 years within a global matrix organization

Experience supporting multi-site operations

Strong background in complex employee relations
-
Experience in highly regulated industries (biomedical, FDA, or similar) strongly preferred
-
Proven success in building or transforming HR functions
-
Demonstrated experience leading change management and culture transformation initiatives
-
Strong knowledge of HR systems, ideally SAP SuccessFactors
-
Solid understanding of HR processes, compliance, and best practices
