Head of IT

The Head of IT is responsible for establishing and leading technology infrastructure, system integration, and data visibility across all countries to enable operational efficiency, revenue governance, and scalable growth.

1. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

IT Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement the IT and ERP strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives across departments.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO on system enhancements and technology investments.
  • Establish IT governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
  • Build unified data visibility across countries
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across business systems.

ERP & Business Systems Management

  • Oversee configuration, performance, and enhancement of ERP platforms (Business Central or other ERP systems in use).
  • Ensure optimal system availability, reliability, and scalability.
  • Lead ERP/WMS/ systems selections, upgrades, implementations, migrations, and rollouts of new modules.
  • Define ERP roadmap and prioritize enhancements based on business needs.
  • Ensure seamless integration with CRM, POS, HRMS, WMS, DMS, and other enterprise systems.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and manage IT/ERP team members.
  • Define KPIs and performance objectives for the IT team.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and service excellence.
  • Identify training needs and support professional development.
  • Manage workload distribution and ensure timely project delivery.

Business Process Optimization

  • Analyze cross-functional workflows and recommend ERP-driven improvements.
  • Collaborate with department heads to streamline operations and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Ensure ERP workflows align with internal controls and company policies.

Data Governance & Business Intelligence

  • Establish data governance framework to ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
  • Oversee master data management (customers, vendors, items, BOM, chart of accounts).
  • Supervise development of dashboards, KPIs, and analytics (Power BI, SQL, Excel).
  • Provide executive-level reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure automation of routine reporting processes.

Security, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure ERP security through role-based access control and segregation of duties.
  • Strengthen cybersecurity and infrastructure stability, best practices and data protection policies.
  • Ensure system backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies are in place.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Mitigate IT risks through proactive monitoring and compliance controls.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with ERP vendors, implementation partners, and service providers.
  • Lead contract negotiations and SLA management.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions within budget constraints.

Budget & Financial Oversight

  • Develop and manage the annual IT budget.
  • Control IT-related expenditures including licenses, infrastructure, and vendor contracts.
  • Ensure cost optimization while maintaining system performance and security.
  • Provide ROI analysis for IT investments.

2. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Academic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degreein IT, Computer Science, MIS, or related field.

· Master’s degree (MBA or IT Management) is a plus.

Years of Experience

· 7–10 years of experience in ERP systems, business systems management, or IT leadership roles.

· Proven experience in ERP implementation and cross-functional systems management.

· Prior supervisory or managerial experience required.

· Experience in distribution/trading is preferred

Nature of Experience

· Strong knowledge of ERP platforms (Microsoft Business Central preferred).

· Proficiency in SQL, databases, reporting tools, and analytics.

· Experience in system integrations and API architecture.

· Proven experience in leading IT projects and system migrations.

· Exposure to multi-branch or regional operations is preferred.

Pay: From AED10.00 per month

Experience:

  • Business Systems Design/Architecture: 5 years (Preferred)
